Nicole and Pete's Wedding Day

Don't you just love winter wedding's when the sun is shining and love is in the
air!  This is what Nicole was thinking as she walked across the street from her
hotel room to the bridal suite at the Franklin Plaza to get ready for her
special day!  After her bridesmaids helped her slip into her perfect dress, the
champagne was flowing and there was laughter and excitement in the air!  After a
short but sweet ceremony held right in the ballroom of the Franklin Plaza,
guests were escorted upstairs to partake in the cocktail hour that always amazes
everyone with the huge array of tasty appetizers!  As the guests were enjoying
themselves upstairs the banquet staff were busy transforming the ballroom into a
wedding fantasy along with sparklers and flowers provided by Price Chopper.
After an amazing dinner the night was filled with non-stop fun thanks to the DJ
Jeff Richards, who provided the music that had everyone dancing  all night!
Thank you Nicole and Pete for allowing us to be part of your special day and we
wish you many years of happiness!

Kristen and Karl's Wedding

As we all know, Saturday was a very rainy ominus day, but it did not detere the
excitement and enthusiasm of Kristen and Karl's special day!  Kristen and her
wedding party were so much fun when we started at her house!  The ceremony was
awesome at the Siena College Chapel and then once again we were off to the
elegant Fraklin Plaza where they never disappoint in bringing their best to
every wedding.
This wedding was filled with surprises!  Two fantastic first dances, a special
song written and sung by Karl's friend, a dance floor filled with happy guests
thanks to DJ Paul Malo.   Let's not forget Bret Wasserman who does an awesome
job capturing the entire day.
Thank you Kristen, Karl and family for making us part of your happy day and
making it easy and fun for us, you rock!

Robyn and Dan's Wedding

Robyn and Dan had the "best wedding ever" last night at the Franklin Plaza. We
started out at the Franklin Plaza Suites where everyone was staying.  From the
moment we met the bride and groom to be, we knew we were in for a treat.  They
are fun, spontaneous and both have a great sense of humor which made our work
that much easier to get some awesome memories in photo's.   There were so many
surprises that added to this already special day that I don't know where to
begin.
First there was a red mustang that Robyn surprised Dan with to drive to Russell
Sage College to take some photo's.  Then after all the formalities were
completed, Paul Malo, the DJ for this excellent wedding had everyone dancing The
Slovackian Wedding Dance that should be a tradition at everybody's wedding!  The
last surprise of the night was when Dan sang to Robyn and there was not a dry
eye in the room.
Thanks to the Franklin Plaza for always surpassing every bride and grooms dream
wedding come true and special thanks to Robyn and Dan for just being themselves
and letting us be part of their most memorable wedding!

Shannon and Matt’s Wedding

I have known Shannon’s parents  Karen and Chuck for several year’s and I am honored to a part of their daughter’s special day! When we arrived at the Franklin Square Inn and Suites, we were greeted by a very excited bride-to-be, three attendants; Jill, Maria and Annie and of course Shannon’s very proud parents.
It was awesome that the entire wedding was at the Franklin Plaza.  After we left the suite we just walked across the street with Matt and his brother Peter for their photo shoot. As we entered the ballroom where the ceremony and reception were to take place, we were in awe of how On Ty from Surroundings Florist transformed this room into a fairytale wedding.  The stunning centerpieces were just part of the amazing artistry of On Ty’s creative genius.

Franklin Plaza is always consistent with their excellent service, amazing food and their ability to make every wedding unique to the individual bridal reception. After the parent dances and cake cutting, the guests were treated to Russ the DJ from Piano Man and Matt the groom treated us to some fancy foot work that had everybody dancing. It was truly a fun day with the joining of two loving families and we thank you
Shannon and Matt for letting us capture your happiness in pictures that everyone can enjoy forever!

Tracy and Bill’s Wedding

Franklin Plaza

Tracy and Bill’s wedding day started out to be picture perfect thanks to the weather, the bride looking beautiful and bridesmaids pretty in pink.
After spending quality time with the girls and parents, just before we left to see how the groom was doing at the Church, Tracy was surprised with a gift from Bill who sent over a wedding cake charm for her Pandora bracelet, nice touch Bill!
The ceremony was beautiful with family, extended family and friends showing their support for this loving couple.
After church we usually go to the reception and take pictures there, but Tracy and Bill, had other plans.  Bill got permission to take pictures on the lawns of the Emma Willard School with it’s spectacular architecture, acres and acres of lush green lawn and a bridal party that was ready to get this party started!
As we are leaving  Tracy and Bill pose in front of the school where the limo is waiting to transport them to what will turn out to be a spectacular wedding reception.
Here we are again at the Franklin Plaza which certainly says something about the bride and groom and their choice of where they want to celebrate their special day!
If you want ambiance, attention to detail, attentive waitstaff and a menu that appeals to individual taste, the Franklin Plaza always seems to be able to bring that approach to every wedding.
As the bride and groom were introduced and walk past their guests cheering them on with a feverish pitch, sparklers are lighting up the entire room,  and the first dance signifies their new life together as husband and wife.  From that moment on the dance floor was never empty, thanks to the TS Ensemble Band and the wedding guests who helped make this day memorable for Tracy and Bill.  As I reflect back to special moments of this wedding, I must mention the parent dances.  Tracy and her Dad danced first and I noticed how much he loved his daughter and held her so tightly knowing Bill would be taking care of her now.  Then it was Bill’s turn to dance with his mother, but it was his grandmother who was going to dance with him, since sadly Bill lost his mother to cancer not long ago.  His grandmother was hesitant, but I heard him say ” just dance like we practiced” and she cried, but made it through as everyone surrounded them to show their support.  I believe his mother was watching down and approved of the entire day and was happy to see a specialty drink made in honor of her memory and donations made to the Cancer Society.
After  that heartfelt moment  the party was non-stop dancing and celebrating,  and at the end of the night if you were hungry after working off dinner from all the dancing there was a carving station to entice you even more after this amazing wedding!
Thank you to Tracy and Bill, their families, extended families and friends for making this wedding memorable and fun for this photographer!

Laura & Ed’s Wedding Day!
Saturday, June 27th
The day starts out with all the excitement of one bride and eight bridesmaids getting ready for what will prove to be a very fun wedding. Then we meet the groom and best man at church who decides to set up a great shot of him trying to get away out the back door.

All goes well at the ceremony where we have family, friends and…….cheerleaders, less the pom, poms!
I told you it was going to be a fun wedding. Now we arrive at the unique and always beautiful Franklin Plaza in Troy New York.  Anyone who has been to Franklin Plaza knows about the alley where there is a garage door with some awesome graffiti. Many brides and grooms love to have unique photos taken back there and Laura and Ed were defiantly up for this as you will see. The groomsmen and bridesmaids didn’t want to be left out of the photo shoot and got right into it with them.
Laura’s parents  left nothing out for their daughter’s wedding!   Delicious food, gorgeous cake, candy table and sliders in case you were hungry after dancing away the night with the great sounds from the TS Ensemble band.  

We truly enjoyed Laura and Ed and embraced their love of life and each other.
