Destinaton wedding in Troy, NY
This is what the bride and groom had to say.
Well, we attended a wedding at the Franklin Plaza sometime ago and fell in love with the ambiance and character of the Franklin Plaza. It is something completely different then a venue’s on Long Island so we decided to make it a mini destination wedding.
The vendors were picked through a lot of online research since we were out of towners. We were literally obsessed and pleased with all our vendors. Everyone was so accommodating to work with especially planning a wedding 3 hours away. We seriously can not thank them enough!

From Michael and Nancy… Fun, fun, fun from the start of our shoot to the very end. Julianne and Lucas could not of had a better time at their own wedding. They offered us every opportunity to document their wedding day in every way they dreamed of. It was a pleasure to work for such a great couple. Now all you need to do is pick out 80 photos out of the 2500 we took for your book. Good Luck!

It was a privilege for me to shoot Danielle and Michael Sbuttoni’s wedding, The pressure was on because the grooms father and I went to high school together and we are still personal friends. I know I don’t look that old but I guess I am. However, my photographic skills and style stay current with today’s trends, plus I am still learning after all these years. Every wedding is a test for me to expand the creative process during a day shooting with young couples.
Danielle and Michael’s wedding was no exception, from the hotel to cobblestone street scenes to a walk in the park to twilight photos of downtown Albany, it was a great day.
As always Tom and his staff from the State Room did a fantastic job, the service and food are top notch. One of the entree’s was prime rib. When I say the portion was falling off the plate is a understatement, absolutely “HUGE” , The flowers by Kara and Evan from Anthology were breathtaking. And talk about rocking the house Garland’s band, Soul Session’s did a fantastic job. I’d say awesome but that word is so over used.
The photographer Bob Krist said it best, composition, lighting and a sense of the moment, when those elements are put together correctly that’s called a perfect image.
Thank you all involved for a great day, a group of very talented professional’s working together doing what they do best.

All I can say is that I have great brides and grooms plus Erin and Kevin both have spectacular friends and family. We had an awesome time shooting this wedding for probably 12 hours. It was a great day for everyone involved. Erin and Kevin said game on when the camera was pointed towards them. Talk about working the camera, Erin and Kevin could be models. At the drop of a hat these guys were ready for almost anything I asked of them. Nicole’s Catering did a wonderful job with the food and service, the bar was 3 deep all night long and the Accents had the place rocking.
The NYS Museum has endless possibilities for a photographer, I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding ceremony or a corporate event.
Enjoy the blog, sorry it took me a month to post.

I just love it when my couples turn to me for suggestions and idea’s. It’s a sign of trust when I captured Alyssa and Ryan’s wedding day. From the moment at the hotel to the reception this couple wanted to take advantage of all possibilities/locations and I was more than willing to go beyond the normal and repetitive photos that many photographers do wedding after wedding. Sometimes you need to think out of the box and I think we nailed it. It’s a very humble moment for me when couples contract me to photograph one of the most important days in the lives.
Thank you Alyssa and Ryan from the bottom of our heart.
All the best, Michael and Nancy

What a magnificent day we had with TT & Greg for their very intimate wedding with 65 of their closest family and friends! As we entered Greg’s family home, you could feel the excitement in the house as the family scurried around to get ready! What a joy it was to meet TT for the first time and see the sparkle in her eyes as she posed for photographs in her first dress! Greg’s sisters, mother, and friend were there for TT every step of the way for support. Dress two was even more stunning than dress one and TT had so much fun posing for Michael, just like a professional! Between dresses, we spent some quality time with Greg as his dad helped him put on the finishing touches to his suit. After a few family pictures at the house, it was time to drive to the beautiful
Schuyler Meadow Golf & Country Club for the ceremony and reception.
The weather couldn’t have been anymore perfect for the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour! More family pictures overlooking the golf course made for a beautiful backdrop. Entering the dining area for the reception was absolutely breathtaking, thanks to the vision of the mother-of-the-groom and David!
The cake, the favors, flowers, the venue was just elegant and amazing!!!
Thank you so much TT, Greg, and your entire family for choosing us to be part of your wedding day! It was a pleasure to spend time with all of you and capture this very memorable day!
Congratulations TT & Greg!
We wish you both all the best in Shanghai and enjoy your wedding ceremony with both families!

Rain, rain go away, come back another day! Despite the rain not going away for Chelsea and Joe’s wedding day, we used it to our advantage and it turned out to be so much fun! It was not a total wash out but when you have a bride and groom who are willing to do anything for some memorable photos, use an umbrella!
Our day started at the Longfellow’s Hotel where Chelsea, her mother and entire bridal party were getting ready! After all our preliminary work it was time for the Chelsea to transform herself into a stunning bride! Everyone gathered around helping with all the details of the veil, the accessories and admiring how beautifully everything came together! In spite of the heat and no rain, we went outside for some Chelsea and bridal party time. From there we met up with Joe and his best man and ushers to spend time with them as well.
More pictures later, time to get to the church and enjoy the joining of this happy couple! After family photos at the church, we headed back to Saratoga National Golf Club. Just as we arrived it started to rain, but as I mentioned earlier, this did not stop us! Golf umbrellas are always available and that came in very handy! It was not a total wash out so we took out the golf carts for some beautiful shots around the golf course.
Time to let Chelsea and Joe enjoy the cocktail hour while we went inside to photograph the magnificently decorated ballroom! Everything and ready for guests to get ready for introductions, first dance, toasts, and sit back and relax and enjoy a meal that everyone will certain appreciate! As always Mazzone Hospitality and staff present the best the area has to offer. After dinner, more formalities and photo opportunities, but now it is time to party!!!! Chelsea and Joe chose Paul Malo, one of the best DJ’s in the capital district and what a night this turned out to be! That dance floor was never empty and everybody truly enjoyed themselves!
In case anybody was hungry between dance sets, there was a pizza and dessert station that would make anybody stop and feast on these treats!
Thank you Chelsea and Joe for allowing us to share your very special wedding with you, family and friends! Your enthusiasm and willingness to adventure outside and explore all the possibilities Saratoga National has to offer made it so much fun for us as well!
Congratulations, we wish you all the best!

Venue: The Inn and Spa at East Wind, Wading River NY (Long Island)
DJ: Tommy’s Tunes
I get very excited when Michael uses these two words………ROAD TRIP! It is always a treat for us when a bride and groom finds a venue that is new to us and in this case, Michelle did a fantastic job of researching the internet and found The Inn and Spa at East Wind, Long Island New York! As we always do when we are not familiar with a new venue, we arrived early so that we had time to look around and get the creative juices flowing and scope out areas that would capture this amazing day for Michelle and Rob!
The building itself was breathtaking and stepping out of the car you can feel the breeze coming off the ocean that was not far away! After enjoying our own tour of the area, we entered the enormous lobby to find out where our bride and her bridesmaids were getting ready. There was certainly high energy and excitement as we entered the suite where Michelle and the girls were getting hair and make-up done for this very happy bride-to-be!
As you will see from the photographs we chose for this blog, Michelle looked absolutely stunning and with the little direction Michael gave her, she went with it like a professional! Everything was so perfect for Michelle and Rob that I could write a book about this day, but will highlight a few things that made this day spectacular!
The first look took place in the garden where the ceremony was going to take place which was the perfect setting for both! Then inside we took all the family pictures on the massive staircase that accommodated large and small groups. Then it was back to the garden where Michelle and Rob were married in front of all their very close family and friends! After more pictures of the newly married couple, it was time for the celebration to begin and so it did with wonderful food, dancing, laughter and capturing memories that Michelle and Rob will remember for a lifetime!
We wish to thank Michelle, Rob and their amazing families that helped put this wedding together for everyone to enjoy and including us to capture this weekend of fun, laughter and special moments that we will never forget!

As I’m writing this blog, all I keep thinking to myself is what a fun, amazing, happy day we spent with Alison, Sean and their entire family and friends! This was the third wedding we photographed for the family and we totally enjoyed ourselves as much as the other two weddings!
When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Alison, her sisters and mother and a group of lively bridesmaids getting ready for this exciting day! Once our preliminary photos were complete, we then spent some time with Alison and later with Sean and his groomsmen, until it was time to get to the Church!
After a beautiful ceremony and mass, we headed back to the Century House to photograph just Alison and Sean to capture their time together as newlyweds. The cocktail hour was over, introductions began and from then on it was non-stop fun that did not end all night! Every aspect of Ali and Sean’s wedding was memorable including DJ Jeffrey Scott who really knows how to keep a party going!!!!!
Thank you Ali, Sean and your entire family for another fabulous day! We truly were extremely honored that you chose us again to be part of this third wedding.
Congratulations Ali and Sean, health and happiness to you both!!

From beginning to end, this was one of the happiest days we had the pleasure of spending with Katy, Kyle and their families and friends! Everything was so perfect and it all started at Katy’s family home. Katy looked stunning from head to toe with her dress on and her gorgeous shoes, and bridal bouquet made up of all beautiful brooches! Everything took place in Congress Park with the first look, the ceremony and family pictures. We even had a prop, a red sports car that Katy’s father brought along to add to this marvelous day!
The ideas that Katy and Michael had for photo’s was so wonderful, like a photographer’s dream!
After all the formalities were completed and a delicious dinner was served, the party started and continued all night with DJ Paul Malo rocking the Casino with music that had everybody on their feet!
Thank you Katy and Kyle for allowing us to capture this magnificent day with you!
